Caspar Schjelbred
Op 10 april organiseert Kabloeng! in het kader van Inspinazie XL een open workshop, gegeven door niemand minder dan Caspar Schjelbred. Caspar is artistiek directeur bij de Improfessionals en was in die hoedanigheid ook te gast op het internationaal improvisatiefestival van Inspinazie in 2004.
In een 4 uur durende workshop (15:00 tot 19:00) zal er gewerkt worden rond “The Thing”:
All great improvisers are doing it. But they will rarely tell you exactly what it is that they’re doing. And that is precisely the aim of this workshop: to show you a direct pathway to improvisational greatness. Nothing more, nothing less. You will be presented with a set of universal tools and techniques that you can take away and apply immediately in your next workshop, rehearsal or show.
The exercises are all practically oriented and designed to make you see, feel and understand what “the thing” is, how it works concretely – and, above all, how you can actually do it yourself. Essentially, we’ll work on how to consciously use our body so that it becomes:
1) an endless source of inspiration, and
2) an instrument of truly theatrical improvisation.
Please wear clothes that you can easily move in. I also recommend working barefoot, or at least without shoes, in this workshop.
